Welcome to the third edition of featured photographer where we present you the most talented photographers using actions and presets from our Essential Kit for Photographers.
Today we are having Slovenia’s God of wedding photography – Milos Horvat. This amazing talent works together with his beautiful wife Natasha – they are so different and when you meet them you just know that what they say about two haves of an apple – they complete each other. I had a pleasure of meeting their family and am so happy I did. The very first time I visited Slovenia I knew I will be coming back year after year and now I know I’ll also be able to meet with friends. Their work is breathtaking- just see for yourselves. You can visit Milos website at www.miloshorvat.com.
Interview with Milos!
Why and how did you become a wedding photographer?
To be honest, If someone told me 10 years ago, that I will be doing what I am, I would tell him he is crazy, but we all know how unpredictable life sometimes is. Basicly it was quite simple…after I shot a wedding of my friend back in 2004 everybody was telling me that I am born to be a wedding photographer. First few years Natasha was my assistent, but now I can say that we are a perfect photography team.

What inspires you the most?
Life by itself. A magic of a moment. Looking at the ocean or sea. Evening walk. Love of my wife. Sweetnes of my daughter. Good music. Dinner with my friends. Everything that touches my soul.

What are your plans for the future?
Work less for more money haha…isn’t that everyone’s dream?…but to be more realistic I think that we will travel and shoot destination weddings and portraits even more. I just love traveling. This September we had an absolutley crazy schedule…in 14 days we have shot a wedding in Vienna, 2 weddings at home in Slovenia, one in Paris, one in Bern-Interlaken and had a two day before-wedding session with Malesian couple in Venice and Alps. All my friends photographers were telling me that I will »die« after this, but funny thing is that I was less tired when coming back home as I was when I was leaving.
There is also one secret that I will first say it here… together with »Poser« – Erik Clausen (btw…his wedding photography is beyond word), we are talking about doing a special Workshop, which will be probably hold in Vienna.

What gear do you shoot with and which lenses are you favs?
We both shot with Canon 5dmkII and use all possible lenses form 15mm-200mm including fisheye and Tiltshift. But my favorites are primes, 24-50-85mm.

Which actions are your favourites?
Yours of course
Fav actions: yummy bw, urban desaturation madness, vintage wash, sweet summer days

What was the most exiting assigment you had to shoot this season?
This year we have been photographing at so many great places…huh its hard to choose…Cuba was absolutley great, Lanzarote too, but I think that a wedding in Paris was the most special for me. I immediatley become in love with this City. It was somekind of »De-ja-vu«.
More amazing shots from Milos!
